The single finger raised just off the wheel represents a friendly nod to someone you don't know that has just waved to you from the side of the road. Add digits for grades of familiarity until you've got a whole hand, off the wheel, for an old friend.

Re: 8 Boyfriend Labels Women Use in Yelp Reviews and What They Really Mean

Great post! I felt like you did a great job of giving a general explanation of boyfriend labels. Far too often people will give so much information on what they think something is that they will confuse the reader. What you wrote was short to the point and very informative.

singles chat rooms
Re: 8 Boyfriend Labels Women Use in Yelp Reviews and What They Really Mean

Great tips on BF topic

Re: 8 Boyfriend Labels Women Use in Yelp Reviews and What They Really Mean

This is funny I had a good laugh on this. I'm actually a bit torn in between labeling it as Creative Media-ism or just plain Social Manipulation (sometimes labeled as Mind Control).

I like Adam Curtis, who's a British Journalist and I respect his views and how he breaks down the human psyche which I agree. Check out two of his videos, one called Century of The Self and the other is The Power of Nightmares. Two of the most thought provoking documentary series you'll ever see if you haven't seen it already. I think every so called media expert should watch it.

In general, I think THEY tapped into something pretty organic when the internet was invented because this is a whole other beast. Its like the rabbit hole, you think you know it all but you haven't even scratched the surface yet (if there's even a yet). Are twitter and facebook a News Television Killer? I don't know but we obviously saw Television kill Newspaper because of...instant information. TV in general are now trying to go with the flow siting both Internet Juggernauts (instant information as well as a wider perspective, eg Alternative Radio/TV) as one of their main programing tools. Its interesting but we'll see. The downer with the internet is there's no one to confirm whats true or not and false ideas spreads really fast. Yes they can always come up with rating systems but what if the very people who created the rating systems have a common falsehood to them as well.

CNN as well as other big news networks are losing with ratings falling off the roof lol. There's a podcast I listen to from Dan Carlin, a political commentator who mentioned he had an idea for CNN on how to get their network back on track. This is even better than instant tweeting. Its called 'Instant Video'. Sort of like a first-person's-view of THE ACTION as a live feed at the bottom of the screen. People want to see action. Human beings are still children because we want to know whats in that box. If the box looks interesting we want to open, evaluate, tear it apart and probably even recreate whats in that box.

In support of what you said this is a new age, where people want to be stars and relate (reality tv) and be noticed like celebrities. If you break down the history of the ages, there's always this one thing that revolutionized the mass. And its hard to fight it because its a snowball effect that won't stop till it reaches another new age. Based on how short our attention span is I don't think twitter and facebook will be around forever when the next invention is set to become the next snowball. You and I are probably not that old but I still remember when people use to say hi on the streets but we all have become Modern Zombies crossing the streets with our heads down looking at our hand-held device. Invention is great but when it goes too far then whats left is a soul-less being called Snooki.

Re: The Message Behind FedEx

Where have u been all my life? I'm glad there's a page out there that spells out what I've secretly been thinking for the last few years. I'll start reading a rather snippy review, and then... the Boyfriend Drop. Especially where you don't even realize the real story being told. I'm sure somebody does this, but I can't think of anyone.
